Shut Up Fool! Awards- Who Dat Geauxing To The Super Bowl Edition

It's the end of the first month of the new year and the new decade. We were treated not only to President Obama's first State Of The Union address of his presidency, but got to watch the New Orleans Saints earn their first NFC Championship and a trip to the Super Bowl with an 31-28 overtime win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Mardi Gras came early for that long suffering city. Geaux Saints!

We go from watching the Saints march our of the Superdome with a thrilling victory to the agony of seeing what fool or fools exhibited championship level stupidity this week.

As usual, our contenders for this week's award contained our perennial cavalcade of past winners such as Beck, Limbaugh, O'Reilly and Palin and South carolina governor Andre Bauer.

But this week's Shut Up Fool! award goes to Rudy Guiliani.

Rudy was so busy trying to slam President Obama's State of the Union speech in the various media outlets that he didn't bother to fact check his commentary.

He made the erroneous comment on CNN and Faux News that the prez hadn't mentioned terrorism in his SOTU speech Wednesday night.

But then again, the motto for Faux News, the conservative movement and the Repugnican Party is never let facts get in the way of a first class lie.

Roll that beautiful TPM footage.

Rudy, whoever's doing your fact checking for you, y'all need to fire him.

America's Mayor my azz. More like America's fool.

Rudy Guiliani, shut up fool!
